The project called Center for the Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technologies in Catalonia (, is a project focused on generating a high impact in the healthcare and social fields based on the deveopment of disruptive and incremental initiatives internationally, with the ultimate goal of improving the life quality of citizens and the positioning of Catalonia in terms of innovation in the European context.

Thus, brings together clinical knowledge and technologists to help promote the development, marketing and adoption of new technologies to address the main healthcare problems.

Our story was formed in 2017 as an initiative that seeks to improve, at national level, the conversion ratio of scientific research on innovation. Thus, is singled out as a project that seeks to bridge this gap and ensure that excellence in research is reflected in excellence in innovation, as a region in Catalonia and as a country throughout the Spanish State, through the reinforcement of structures, Innovation processes and policies that lead us to promote disruptive and incremental initiatives of high international and social impact in the field of medical devices. was created by Fundación LEITAT, with the support from the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya) Health Services Department, the Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS, as per the acronym in Catalan) and with the collaboration from CIMIT in Boston.
